New Jersey Child Care Information System (NJCCIS) is maintained by TCC Software Solutions and is the official web portal for processing and registering Approved Home providers under the authority of child care providers under the authority of Division of Family Development (DFD); and child care providers under the authority of the Department of Children and Families, Office of Licensing (OOL) to become licensed or registered as a family child care provider. Individual state agency websites are separately maintained by the respective State agencies, DHS and DCF.

DHS and DCF must comply with the New Jersey law that mandates that State government agencies shall not create personal records unless the need for the information is clearly established and that personal records are relevant to the purposes for which they are collected, are accurate, current, and not obtained by fraudulent means.
The Federal Child Care Development Reauthorization Act of 2014 requires the Department of Human Services, Division of Family Development, as the Lead Agency to make the following information, policies and procedures available through a consumer-friendly and easily accessible website:
- Licensure, registration, and approval of child care providers
- Conducting background checks and the disqualifying crimes that prevent providers from providing child care services
- Monitoring child care providers
The very nature of the portal requires that we gather, process, use and distribute information that you provide to us (e.g., name, physical address, e-mail address). This information is required in order to apply for a child care license or family child care registration, as well as comply with the Child Care Development Block Grant Reauthorization Act of 2014.
